Who We Are
Our Mission
Adopt A Guinea Pig is dedicated to saving the lives of Guinea Pigs through adoption. We are100% funded through adoption fees and donations. We believe every Guinea Pig deserves a chance at a forever home, and we aim to make a difference in the lives of these deserving animals, one Guinea Pig at a time.

Did you know that the average Guinea Pig needs 365 Cups of fruit & Vegetable per year.
Water
Guinea Pigs can drink from water bows or water bottles.
Medical Help
Smaller animals are just as prone to illness as larger ones, and guinea pigs are certainly no exception. Make sure your precious guinea pig sees the veterinarian for a thorough checkup at least once per year.

We are funded by private donations and support
- The Adopt A Guinea Pig (AAGP) receives no state, federal or United Way funding.
- The AAGP takes seriously the investments of its donors and supporters for the care of the animals.
- The AAGP, governed by a volunteer board of directors, adheres to standard accounting practices; conducts an annual independent audit; and carefully and frugally manages its resources in order to care for as many animals as possible for decades to come.

Choose to change the world for homeless pets
Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Adopt A Guinea Pig. We are very grateful for your support. There are few things as rewarding as helping a homeless animal find a new home. When you volunteer at the AAGP, you make a difference for homeless animals AND the people choosing to adopt them.
Volunteering can take a variety of forms. From serving as an ambassador spreading awareness in the community, to providing enrichment and socialization for an animal, to training other volunteers on how to support our mission, volunteer team members give their time and talent to change the lives of thousands of pets each year. We could not do what we do without you, and we have unmet needs waiting for more talented volunteers to help us fulfill our mission!
Learn About Fostering
The goal of the foster programs is to provide a home environment for pets who need special attention or a break from the shelter. Some pets may need a temporary home for a few days, while others may need a few months. Fill Out the Foster Application For More Details.
